Trail - hiking route in Staicele

The trail, which starts at the Staicele Tourism Information Centre, Lielajā iela 13, is located in the territory of the North Vidzeme Biosphere Reserve, in the Salaca Valley Nature Park.
It runs along Lielā Street, past the Staicele paper mill, across the Salaca River to Karogi along the banks of the Karogupīte (Dzelzāmurupīte) River to its mouth in the Salaca river. Along the way you can see cultural and historical sites - cliffs, outcrops and caves. The path winds along a simply forest path. Here you can find various plants and animals listed in the European Red Data Books.
