Hiking route "Between two ports"
The hiking route will take you on a short hike, during which you will have the opportunity to see beautiful, photography-worthy natural landscapes!
Along the route, you might see ships coming into Salacgrīva harbour, 100 swans swimming on the beach or feel the vibrations of summer festivals in Fishermen's Park!
The hike can be done in both directions!

The Port of Salacgrīva is the farthest northern port in Latvia - it is located on the NE edge of the Gulf of Rīga at the mouth of the Salaca River, 100 km north of Rīga and 13 km south of the Latvian-Estonian border.

The Salaca promenade was created to protect the right bank of the Salaca river from erosion.

On 16 July 2016, the " Alley of Fame" was opened on the promenade. The idea was conceived by Dagnis Straubergs. In the alley, you will find 24 bronze palm prints of famous people who have visited our city.
