The beach between Svētciems and Salacgrīva is heavily overgrown, so Baltic Coastal Hiking follows a forest road that winds between the dune ramparts. From Salacgrīva to Kuiviži, you can walk along the sandy beach or along forest paths. The Randu meadows from Kuiviži to Vēverupe River are reached by a forest road on the east side of the A1 motorway. After Vēverupe River, the Baltic Coastal Hiking returns to a heavily overgrown beach, which it leaves again at the mouth of the Blusupīte River to continue along Kāpu and Valdemāra Streets to reach the Ainaži pier. About 580 km have been covered in Latvia and the national border has been reached.
